One of Wales’s best kept secrets, for over 20 years the Festival has been bringing amazing performers to this beautiful corner of the country.

The week features Welsh male voice choirs, folk music and international classical performers, with concerts including a night of Mozart, Beethoven String Quartets, and Beethoven’s ‘Diabelli Variations’ with pianist Stephen Osborne.

There are also two atmospheric candlelit late night performances - one a calming and meditative hour of Bach for solo violin, the other a trip to South American with Latin music for guitar, percussion and soprano.

But that’s not all! The Budapest Cafe Orchestra appear with their inspiring mix of jazz and Eastern European music, and there are talks, open air performances and a free family event.

Everything culminates in a joyous final performance when Welsh and Classical sides of the festival combine for a concert which includes stunning operatic arias and traditional Welsh favourites.

If you’re local the Festival is the perfect way to sample fantastic local and international performers, and if your’e from father afield it’s the perfect destination - with the beach at Aberdovey close by, the resort of Aberystwth a short way away and Machynlleth surrounded by stunning countryside.

Tickets start from £10 and kids go free to all events. Most performances take place at the beautiful and intimate Tabernacl at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) Machynlleth.
