Celebrate the future of jazz music-making as NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra) return to the Stoller Hall following their acclaimed performance with vocalist Tommy Blaize in 2023.
In this concert, they'll be joining forces with legendary British jazz pianist and composer Nikki Yeoh for a re-visited and re-orchestrated performance of her seminal 1970s multi-media work Speechmik X-Ploration.
With an expanded lineup on stage featuring extra strings and woodwind, they'll also be performing ‘nucleus’ a brand-new trumpet work created especially for NYJO.
NYJO works to create a meeting-ground between the established and the experimental, catering to lifelong and new jazz fans.
