After the hiatus of 2020, top live music and entertainment returns to Petworth in the shape of the annual Petworth Festival in July. The wide-ranging festival features major names in music, performance and comedy including the author/comedian Adam Kay; the legendary Blues Band; major classical artists including Isata Kanneh-Mason, Jess Gillam, Mark Padmore and Imogen Cooper; and world music from Seckou Keita who brings his brilliant association with harpist Catrin Finch.

Cabaret includes a star-studded tribute to 50 years of BBC entertainment radio – Radio Live! - featuring Alistair McGowan, the Rev Richard Coles and Joe Stilgoe. A series of eight morning and lunchtime concerts will showcase the talents of rising young musical stars from the worlds of classical and traditional music.

Events take place across Petworth including outdoor events in Petworth House’s Pleasure Garden and Stable Yard, with Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore chalked in for a performance at the elegant Bignor Park.

Because of the postponement of ‘Freedom Day’, ticket sales are currently limited to 50% of normal venue capacities, but is hoped to increase these in line with government guidance. The currently available tickets are already going fast so you are urged not to hang around!
