18 February to May 2021

London Mozart Players
are delighted to welcome back audiences to enjoy their popular Piano Explored series, which this year will be its seventh season. The concerts will take place at St John’s Smith Square, all of which will be recorded for online audiences. The five concert series are going ahead with performances every month, kicking off on Thursday 18th February, finishing in May. The concerts will be performed under Covid guidelines without an audience, until they are permitted to do so, and will be broadcasted online shortly after filming.

London Mozart Players Conductor Laureate Howard Shelly OBE will direct all the concerts from the St John’s Smith Square Steinway piano. The hour long programme begins with Shelley giving an entertaining introduction to one or two famous or rarely played works for piano and orchestra, before performing them with the London Mozart Players. This year’s programme combines a couple of the best loved virtuosic classics of Mozart and Saint-Saëns, some favourite works by Shostakovich and Mendeissohn, and relatively unknown pieces by Hummel and Moscheles. Each performance will bring the music to life for audiences all around the world.

Tickets are available to buy for the online concerts from the following link, https://www.londonmozartplayers.com/piano-explored/
