Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre confirm full cast for Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet will be opening the 2021 season at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from Thursday 17th June. The full cast has now been announced and joining Isabel Adomakoh Young (Juliet) and Joel MacCormack (Romeo), are Cavan Clarke (Mercutio), Emma Cunniffe (Nurse), Peter Hamilton Dyer (Friar Lawrence) and Michelle Fox (Tybalt).

Also confirmed are Aretha Ayeh (Benvolia), Ellie Beavan (Lady Capulet), Tom Claxton (Peter), Ryan Ellsworth (Lord Montague), Andrew French (Lord Capulet), Sarah Hoare (Gregora/Apothacary), Irvine Iqbal (Prince Escalus), Richard Leeming (Paris), Priyank Morjaria (Sampson), Louise Mai Newberry (Lady Montague), Shadee Yaghoubi (Abraham) and Marc Zayat (Balthasar).

Isabel Adomakoh Young (Juliet) joined the RSC for the 2019 Swan Season (Venice Preserved, The Provoked Wife) on completing her training with the NYT Rep. She appeared in Meatballs (Hampstead) and with the acclaimed cabaret company Pecs Drag Kings. As a writer, her trilogy The Lionboy, co-written with her mum under the pseudonym Zizou Corder, has been published in 36 languages and was adapted for the stage by Complicité. 

Joel MacCormack’s (Romeo) recent theatre credits include Describe The Night (Hampstead) and, on television, Safe House 2 (ITV). He won the UK Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Play for Each His Own Wilderness (Orange Tree). Other credits include The Oresteia (Shakespeare’s Globe), Wolf Hall (Company Pictures), and Ready Player One directed by Steven Spielberg.

Performances: Monday – Saturday @ 7.45pm (gates 6.15pm), Thursday & Saturday @ 2.15pm (gates 12.45pm). No matinee 17 or 19 June TICKETS FROM £25.
