Saatchi Art Launches New Global Art Experience

10 March 2021 to 15 February 2021

The Other Art Fair on 10 - 14 March

As galleries remain closed, getting a regular art fix is not as traditional as it used to be pre the pandemic.  But alongside the plethora of virtual reality tours now on offer from well-known museums and creative workshops that have emerged during lockdown, Saatchi Art have been working on a brand-new platform the ‘Other Art Fair’.

Launching on 10th March art enthusiasts can step into a virtual world like no other.  ‘The Other Art Fair’ takes you to - Virtual Editions - a three-dimensional Fair environment. Once you’ve registered, online visitors can chat to artists in real-time, and choose from thousands of affordable, original artworks for your home.

Discover your inner artist through a series of creative workshops in partnership with BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® or explore the artist’s studios through engaging talks and tours that uncover the creative process behind many of the works on display at the Virtual Edition.   Upcoming in March are talks starting with Zena Kay ‘Still Here, Still Life’ on Wednesday, March 10. Zena will show us how to use acrylic paints to create a still life scene which expresses the beauty in everyday objects.    Cortney Herron will walk us through figurative painting on Friday, March 12, where you can learn how to use abstract shapes and organic strokes to create whimsical figurative paintings.

If you love art but don’t really know enough about it or have the confidence to invest? You can join Saatchi Art’s Chief Curator Rebecca Wilson as she talks us through what to look for when investing in emerging artists.  Talk Invest in Art, Thursday, March 11 - 3pm PST / 6pm EST / 10am AEDT

If you feel the need for an accompaniment to your virtual tour then the sponsors, Bombay Sapphire, are running an online workshop on how to make 3 upgraded Gin and tonics.
Tune in to ‘Customization’ with Valentino Longon, March 11
