EXHIBITIONS AND DISPLAYS
- ZWO Astronomy photographer of the Year 18 - NEW Opens 18 September 2026
- The eighteenth ZWO Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition received 4,000 entries from 66 countries around the world. Spectacular nebulae, awe-inspiring views of the Milky Way and March 2025’s partial solar eclipse all feature in the shortlisted and winning photos displayed in this year’s exhibition.
- 250 Years of the Declaration of American Independence. Daily
- To mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the National Maritime Museum presents a small temporary display exploring what may be the earliest evidence of American independence to reach Britain.

- Illuminated Arts presents a community runway show, featuring emerging fashion designers and community participants, linking designers and local community dementia support groups.
Astronomy at the National Maritime Museum

- Celebrate the wonder of the Moon through a range of activities from observing sessions and expert talks to hands-on workshops, science, history and creativity.

- A playful hands-on experience gives visitors the opportunity to meet astronomers, participate in science demonstrations and ask questions about space.
- Evening of Astrophotography 19 September 2026
- Join Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomers and a panel of expert astrophotographers on International Observe the Moon Night for an inspiring evening.Afterwards, take a look around the spectacular exhibition of shortlisted and winning photographs from ZWO Astronomy

- A multi-sensory live science show that turns big space questions into exciting moments of discovery.
- Astronomy LEGO® Brick Club: Every Friday
- An interactive family activity exploring the heritage of astronomy through an interactive LEGO® and DUPLO® brick workshop.

- An interactive storytelling session and social club for families with children under 5.
