Summer at the Roald Dahl Museum

23 July 2022 to 4 September 2022 The Roald Dahl Museum

Pull a power pose next to Matilda, measure yourself against the BFG, test your sparkiness on the Spark-o-meter and come face-to-face with Fantastic Mr Fox.

These are just a few of the exciting things you can do with the kids at the Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire — just a hop, skip and a jump on the train from Marylebone.

This summer enjoy live storytelling from Danny the Champion of the World, walk in the woods that inspired Roald Dahl, spot the 17 stories in the courtyard, and listen to writing hut talks. Plus take a peek into original Writing Hut where Dahl wrote all his stories for children.

For more hands-on fun don’t miss Danny’s Awesome Activity Week from 2 to 7 August. Have fun with clay and junk modelling, and meet our friends from the Natural History Museum Tring.

Every Tuesday join in with a Village or Countryside Trail and take a stomp through the village and woods that inspired the stories.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday throughout the summer holidays, with tickets including re-entry for a whole year. Don’t miss the delicious pop-up food stalls in the courtyard throughout the holidays.
