Get ready for a brand-new adventure at Showtown as all-new Silly Summer Stars take over the museum!
Meet Billy Bracewell, Dorothy Dupoint, Circus Simon and Ringmaster Edward - four unforgettable characters ready to entertain the whole family. Join Billy for a silly journey through Showtown’s entertainment history, dance along with Dorothy, and step into the circus ring with Simon and Edward for show-stopping tricks, challenges and circus fun as part of Cirque Du Silly. They are all ready and waiting to welcome everyone to enjoy their ridiculous antics and laugh-out-loud fun this Summer with loads of interactive experiences, pop-up surprises and hands-on activities every day throughout the school holidays.
Get crafty and bring all the gang to Showtown for hilarious guided tours, daft dance sessions, colourful creative sessions, crazy circus skills workshops and bags of memorable moments, all packed with giggles galore for visitors of all ages.
Plus, get creative every Wednesday with FREE Silly Summer Crafts sessions which will offer a fun-packed, themed activity each week, all inspired by Showtown’s worlds of magic, seaside, circus, shows, illuminations and dance. Silly Summer Crafts will run every Wednesday throughout July and August from 11.30am to 2.30pm and are included with museum admission.
- Wednesday 29 July – Seaside: Make colourful Silly Summer Signs celebrating Blackpool's famous seaside.
- Wednesday 5 August – Illuminations: Craft your own Silly Sword and light up your imagination.
- Wednesday 12 August – Shows: Design a pair of dazzling Silly Sunglasses fit for the spotlight.
- Wednesday 19 August – Circus: Get creative making your own Silly Mask worthy of the big top.
- Wednesday 26 August – Dance: Build your own Groovy Guitar and get ready to make some noise.
