Symphonic ABBA

16 October 2021

Cadogan Hall, London, October 16, 2021:  The Mozart Symphony Orchestra and award winning ABBA revival were due to be playing at Cadogan Hall in October 2020. When the pandemic hit the decision was taken to postpone the concert by exactly one year and that is exactly what happened.   Audiences and performers alike are champing at the bit to be allowed back into the concert hall.

The concert  is part purely orchestral, part ABBA Revival on their own and part a lustrous combination of the two.  Sizzling arrangements for a 32 piece orchestra have been specially written by West End MD Malcolm Forbes-Peckham.  All the classics are in the programme – Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Money, Money, Money, Mamma Mia, The Winner takes it all, Thank you for the music and Super Trooper.  This is an evening out like no other – there are plenty of imitators but none that produce such an accurate reproduction of the original ABBA sound combined with the luxurious palette of sound that a symphony orchestra can provide.  The show will be conducted by the MSO’s Principal Conductor Philip Mackenzie who says “I feel an exhilaration when I conduct this music like no other -  the sheer energy and emotional power of ABBA’s music is not only staggering but also greatly enhanced by the rich orchestrations.”

Tickets are available from Cadogan Hall box office on 020 7730 4500 or from Cadogan Hall's website
