The Sixteen will be returning to Blackburn Cathedral with the eagerly awaited Choral Pilgrimage 2021.

A city which has inspired countless pilgrimages, Rome, and in particular the Sistine Chapel, was where each of the four composers in our 2021 Choral Pilgrimage: The Call of Rome programme created some of their finest work.

Victoria’s monumental Responsories for Holy Saturday frame a powerful programme of music for Holy Week and Marian devotion by Josquin, Felice Anerio and Allegri, culminating in Allegri’s eternal Miserere.
