From January to May, the current London season at the English Chamber Orchestra is jam-packed with classical highlights.

Flautist Ana de la Vega and oboist Ramon Ortega Quero join the ECO at Cadogan Hall on 24 January for an evening of rediscovered masterpieces by Haydn, Stamitz, Cimarosa and the young Mozart: music of star-crossed romance and sparkling wit.

13-year old violin virtuoso Leia Zhu, who’s astonished audiences and critics across Europe, will make her British concerto debut in Mendelssohn’s hugely popular Violin Concerto at Cadogan Hall on 16 February 2020.

On 2 March 2020, oboe virtuoso François Leleux will interpret Mozart with the ECO, exploring the music of Austria, Poland and Italy in irresistible style at Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Charismatic Canadian trumpeter Paul Merkelo will join the ECO for a concert that takes baroque music, gives it a quick shake, and stands it on its head at Cadogan Hall on 7 April 2020.

Finally, the season concludes with a special night from the English Chamber Orchestra and Xian Zhang: in her English Chamber Orchestra debut, one of the 21st century’s most dynamic conductors presents a dance to the music of time from Strauss, Ravel and Adès, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on 18 May 2020.
