We’re thrilled to welcome Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir to Manchester for a three day retrospective look at her work. Trailblazing the future of music, she is renowned for creating music that translates the ecosystems of nature into orchestral soundscapes focussing on proportion and flow.
Maya Youssef with Levare String Quartet

Maya Youssef is hailed as ‘queen of the qanun,’ the 78-stringed Middle Eastern plucked zither, and she joins the Levare String Quartet at the RNCM in her latest tour Finding Home. Maya’s intense and thoughtful music is rooted in the Arabic classical tradition but forges pathways into jazz, Western classical and flamenco styles.
