A Guide to World Book Night

Sian Brett

Reading changes lives. Studies show that reading for pleasure makes a positive impact on economic issues as well as our mental health. 2018 marks the 8th world book night celebration, and there are plenty of events happening at libraries across the UK, so that you can celebrate in style.

Quiz Master Central
This event in Hull Central Library kicks off with a talk and Q&A with author Sarah Dunnakey, who is not only releasing her first novel but is also the writer and verifier of quiz questions on TV shows including Mastermind, University Challenge and Pointless. Following on from this quizzical talk (see what we did there) there’ll be a quiz you can take part in yourselves, as well as a book swap where you can share your treasured reads and discover something new all in one go.
Hull Central Library is located at Albion Street, Hull, HU1 3TF.
