Dick Whittington at Bristol Hippodrome

First off, for your panto glitzy, raucous and featuring all your TV celebs, don’t look any further than the Bristol Hippodrome. Home this year to the London Palladium’s production of Dick Whittington, come along for your festive gags and bawdy fun. With Shane Ritchie playing the lead this year, get booking if you want to catch the high-profile show.

A Christmas Carol at Bristol Old Vic

Over at our local producing house the Bristol Old Vic you’ll find a new rendition of Dickens’ classic seasonal tale. Not so much panto but with plenty of comedy, and original music by Gwyneth Herbert, this new adaptation is sure to set you right in the mood for Christmas; the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge learning the wrongs of his miserly ways is the ideal fit for the season of goodwill. Snow White at Tobacco Factory

Over at the Tobacco Factory you can catch this Brothers Grimm retelling, co-produced with New International Encounter. Telling the story of growing up and learning to find your place in the world, as Snow White flees the cruel Queen’s fury by fleeing into the forest. Last year’s Beauty and the Beast was hailed as a cracker of a family show, so get in now to secure your tickets for Snow White. The show is filled with music and suitable for everyone aged 5+!

Drac & Jill at Wardrobe Theatre

An alternative Christmas offer here at the glorious Wardrobe Theatre – one of the brightest lights in Bristol’s fringe scene. This in-house show is a hilarious new comedy, and if their previous productions are anything to go by it’s sure to be a gem. Dark, dramatic and funny: think belated Halloween and Christmas all rolled up in one!

Beauty and the Beast at Redgrave Theatre

Head over to the Redgrave Theatre for a chance to see this classic pantomime. Presented by Polka Dot Pantomimes, this is your chance to catch a panto in a much more intimate setting, so be prepared for plenty of audience participation! It’s also a more affordable option with family tickets at just £58.
