Celebrating Arts and Connecting Communities
On 22 May 2017 Manchester, and the world, was devastated by the attack on Manchester Arena that killed 23 people. One Manchester resident, Qaisra Shahraz, was quick to respond and identified the need to tackle Islamophobia and bring Muslim and non-Muslim communities together.MACFEST is now in its second year and hosted over 50 events connecting communities all around the world. They’re active partners of other festivals and connect with over 18 schools, colleges and universities.
Throughout 2021 Muslim Arts and Culture Festival will present a diverse selection of speakers, artists, cultures and more that will be showcasing during the online festival. Macfest’s international line up will take you on an unmissable arts and culture journey from Manchester to Azerbaijan. Most of the events will be online and FREE so save your space now.
