Usher in summer by visiting the theatre festival on the banks of the Thames, Underbelly Festival, now in its 10th year as a summery stalwart of London life. If your little ones love a boogie, you can catch the only DJ whose biggest shows are on a Sunday: Monski Mouse. Ms Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall will have little ones and parents alike boogying to the biggest tunes in nursery history.

If your kids are just that bit too old to find Monski Mouse as cool as she really is, Québéquois circus troupe FLIP Fabrique are bringing the English premiere of their show Transit to Underbelly Festival Southbank from 27th May. Little ones – the show is recommended for those aged six and over – will be left open mouthed from all the tricks this troupe can pull off. Just don’t try it at home!

Have a fraction packed day out at Westminster Abbey
This free family day celebrates the live and works of the scientists buried and remembered alongside Stephen Hawking in London’s oldest walled garden, at Westminster Abbey. Kids and adults alike can enjoy live science demonstrations and an arts and crafts sessions making useful objects to take home. Suitable for children aged 5 - 12 accompanied by an adult.
