Prepare your taste buds; September is cooking up to be a corker of a month for the London restaurant scene. From Japanese to Spanish to Italian, these collection of new openings is offering cuisines from all around the world. Tuck in to the below...

Kerridge’s Bar and Grill
Tom Kerridge will be bringing his Michelin starred food to London for the first time this September, with Kerridge’s Bar and Grill which will open within the beautiful Corinthia Hotel. As is his trademark, Kerridge will be focusing on elevating British classics such as fish and chips and hearty pies. Similar to his other restaurants, Bar and Grill will also feature a rotisserie; diners will be able to see the delicious fish, meat and roots vegetables cooking on there during the day and can sample the daily changing rotisserie special. With meat supplied by Tom’s own butcher in Marlow, The Butcher’s Tap, hanging from the walls, we anticipate this will be a carnivore’s paradise.

London doesn’t lack delicious pizzerias, however we are particularly excited about this new opening in Clapham, spearheaded by a previous Natoora director; a top food supplier for those not in the know. Manifesto has an incredibly simple menu, there are not the creative, unusual topping combinations you may expect from other London pizzerias here. However, with its founder a kingpin within the ingredient industry, these pizzas will be made using only the very best. After careful sourcing, the flour and salami used will be from authentic Italian family businesses who have 100 years of experience between them. The fior di latte cheese will hail from Puglia with the Taggiasca olives come from a farm 400m above sea level. With this combination, we can only imagine how tasty these pizzas will be, and with a Margherita only setting you back  £6.50, it will be kind on your taste buds and your purse strings.

While we may have experienced the last of the summer BBQs, you can still get your fill of delicious grilled cuisine at Screwdriver, a new restaurant opened in Dalston which takes inspiration from tapas and pintxos bars from the Galicia and Basque regions. Opened by Emmanuel and Alexis Ross, both with experience at places such as Ned, Zetter Town House and Polpo, Screwdriver is bringing plancha cooking to London where literally everything that can be grilled, is.  Expect grilled asparagus with creamy burrata, fried tomatoes, and anchovies on toast alongside juicy meat, fish and shellfish. And with a menu of stunning, exciting cocktails (we are looking forward to trying the Bebita; tomato tequila, spiced shrub and soda), it sounds like this new opening will be serving up the taste of summer long into the winter months.

If you are a fan of celeb spotting, this new restaurant whose Ibizan counterpart has owners such as Rafael Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Enrique Iglesias, is a must for you. Zela will be opening in the ME Hotel mid-month, and will be fusing Japanese and Mediterranean flavours to create a stylish, tasty menu which offers ceviche, caviar and sushi alongside larger dishes such as tuna teriyaki with Ibicencan vegetable noodles and five spice duck breast. With its founding restaurant located on the party island, we expect that Zela will offer cool, chilled vibes where guests can try one of their many cocktails such as the Kaguya; pisco, sugar, basil and lime.

The Belrose
After a long wait, The Belrose pub has finally opened its doors in Belsize Park. As a self acclaimed neighbourhood pub, The Belrose aims to become a stalwart in the community, with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. However, you can expect far more than pork scratchings and peanuts here; crispy Romana style pizzas will be served alongside small Italian dishes such as grilled Calabrian spicy sausage or grilled octopus with potato and olives. You then can wash these down with one of their many craft beers from around the world, or even their own Belrose brew. With a stunning garden terrace, The Belrose will be the perfect place to soak up the last of the summer sun.
