The numbers speak for themselves in this situation, and this bakery has an impressive seven shops and cafes across Brighton and Hove! Not only will you find a selection of tasty festive treats, you’ll also find a fab selection of store cupboard essentials and Christmas gifts for The Flour Pot lovers in your life.

Their mince pies (which are best served with whipped cream FYI) are made with frangipane for the ultimate Christmassy delight. Just one of these delicious treats costs £1.75, but if you want to stock up for the big day then you can buy a box of six for £9. Whilst there, pick up some tasty The Flour Pot jams, jellies and chutneys or go all out and treat yourself to a Christmas Hamper!

What? Our favourite hot chocolate spot and a place to get brunches and fresh bakes.

Where? Just before The Laines begin, two minutes from The White Rabbit pub.

Why? You can enjoy both regular, vegan and gluten free mince pies here at Black Mocha, as well as picking up a white hot chocolate with cinnamon – it is Christmas after all. They’re also offering mince pies along with their special festive brunch!

Why? What can we say, we trust this expert bakery to get a mince pie just right. Always homecooked and always delicious, their shops are selling both regular and vegan mince pies over Xmas.


The Poets Ale and Smoke House

What? Homely pub with huge selection of American cuisine on the menu.

Where? Just around the corner from Hove train station.

Why? Competitive mince pie eating! Head down on Christmas Eve’s Eve (23 December) for a deadly serious Mince Pie Eating Competition. Beginning at 7pm, there’ll be prizes for the fastest eater and free mince pies for anyone who’s just there for a laugh! Check out the event and call the pub to book yourself in.
