Where to Watch Fireworks in Brighton

Maisy Farren

What’s not to love about Bonfire Night? Cold weather, toffee apples, hot chocolates (or hot toddies for an extra bit of warmth) and a raging bonfire. Brighton offers plenty of organised firework displays throughout the bonfire night week, so wrap up warm and enjoy the show!

Brighton Lions Fireworks Extravaganza
Brighton Racecourse, Freshfield Road, Brighton, BN2 9XZ

Another annual tradition, the Brighton Lions Firework Extravaganza is an enjoyable evening out just a few days before Bonfire Night! Held this year at Brighton Racecourse, the firework display is due to begin at 7.30pm and last about half an hour. Head down in time for doors at 6pm though, as there’s plenty of entertainment on offer for all the family. Kids can play on the fair ground rides whilst parents take solace in the licensed bar, using hot toddies and mulled wine to warm your bones on this cold winter’s evening!

This event takes place 3 November 2019, 6-8.30pm. Tickets cost £11 for adults and £5.50 for children and are available here.

The Nevill Fireworks 2019
Nevill Playing Fields, Nevill Avenue, Hove, BN3 7NB

Many in the East Sussex area head to the legendary Lewes for Bonfire Night, but those who prefer a more a traditional firework experience tend to flock to the Nevill playing fields in Hove! The show comes from the award-winning team at Brightfire Pyrotechnics, who won silver in the 2015 British Musical Firework Championship (no, we didn’t know that existed either!) Choregraphed to a familiar soundtrack and promising a few surprises along the way, this popular annual show is one not to miss. This family event offers food and drinks stalls and places to buy glow sticks and flashing toys, much to the dismay of parents everywhere!

This event takes place 2 November 2019, 5pm-late (fireworks at 7pm). Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children and are available online here
