Here are a selection of fireworks shows in and around Bristol. Bring your sparklers!

Everyone (except for dogs and cats) loves fireworks. It’s something about the journey; the spark, the shooting light, the quiet… the explosion. And then there is the food, the crowds and the buzz. It’s all there! Despite the best efforts of a young Guy Fawkes, fireworks are certain time to experience some some entertainment with friends. 

Fireworks Display at Compass Point School

Compass Point School, South Street, Bedminister, Bristol, Bristol, BS3 3AU

Although a school might not be your first thought when thinking of where to see the fireworks, hear me out. Located just of North Street, Compass Point School hosts an annual firework display complete with all of the essentials; a DJ, BBQ, home-made cakes, drinks, and an adult supervised sparkler station (if you have little ones!).

Downend Roundtable Fireworks

King George V Playing Fields, Westerleigh Road, BS16 6AH

Dubbed ‘Bristol biggest fireworks’ the folks at Downend are clearly keen to put on a show. Popular with locals, the show in North East Bristol will host both a Children’s fireworks and a later adult performance so this would be the perfect location for those seeking to bring younger children. Make sure to bring cash to get involved with the usual trades. Note: please let me know if it is indeed the biggest!

Almondsbury Fireworks

Almondsbury Recreation Ground, Gloucester Road, BS32 4AA

Hosted in the quintessential British town of Almondsbury, the annual fireworks event expect an action packed night from the off.  Walkabout entertainers, stage shows, funfair, food stalls, Craft Stalls and of course lots of music & drinks.
