Which famous UK attraction should you visit according to your star sign?

6 August 2019 | Billie Manning

Aries – Giants’ Causeway
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and as such loves to dive into ambitious tasks without so much as a second thought. What better to go and see then, than what must have been one of Nature’s most ambitious projects ever? Taking the phrase ‘standing on the shoulders of giants’ quite literally, Giants’ Causeway will be an inspiring visit.

Taurus – Cheddar Gorge and Caves
Taureans are all about pleasure and relaxation, dude, but that doesn’t mean they just want to sit around doing nothing at all. In Cheddar, you can have the best of both worlds, exploring the bucolic surroundings of the grassy gorge and the quiet caves. And once you’ve had your nature-fill, you can explore the lovely local shops selling that world-famous cheddar cheese.

Gemini - Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford Upon Avon
Geminis are true pioneers, thinking up enough big new creative ideas for two people every day. Why not visit the birthplace of another pioneer – and one obsessed with Gemini's favourite thing, words? There’s plenty to occupy Gemini’s buzzing mind in Stratford, from Anne Hathaway’s cottage to an RSC production, should it take your fancy.

Cancer - Roman Baths, Bath
Cancer enjoys creating sanctuaries both mental and physical, and the spectacular and soothing Roman Baths in one of the UK’s oldest cities is sure to provide both in abundance. Enjoy dipping in and out of the baths’ healing water like the serene amphibious crustacean you are – all your problems will be solved in no time.

Leo - Windsor Castle
Leo rules the jungle, and they would rule the universe too if they had their way. Take a fittingly regal trip to Windsor Castle, where you can check out the swanky royal quarters, explore the gardens and think about just how much better the world would be if you were in charge. Sigh…

Virgo - V&A Museum of Design, Dundee
Virgos are logical, methodical and totally hands-on in their approach to life, and so there’s nothing much more satisfying than taking a look at some of the best design in the world. You might even get some tips for redesigning the bathroom.

Libra – The Eden Project, Cornwall
Libra! Here’s something that will appeal to both your beauty-loving side and your justice-loving side. The Eden Project is a conservation project in Cornwall which boasts the biggest indoor rainforest in the world, preserving some incredible examples of Mother Nature’s skills, while also incorporating some seriously cool design. Libra craves balance, and this is one place you’re sure to find it.

Scorpio – Stonehenge
Scorpio loves a bit of magic, and Stonehenge can definitely claim a place in the contest for  most magical place in the whole of the United Kingdom. Whether you believe it was druids, aliens or just really ambitious cavemen, Scorp will love contemplating the sheer psychic power needed to create such a magical sight.

Sagittarius - Snowdon Mountain Railway
Sag is always on the run, so we’re taking you to deepest Wales to ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. The steam train will take you to the summit of the highest mountain in England and Wales, where you’ll be able to take in the awe-inspiring views. It’ll be a party-ready talking point for months – perfect for chatty Sagittarius.

Capricorn - Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh
Capricorn rules the knees, making it easy for them to scale even the steepest mountains. While Arthur’s Seat isn’t technically a mountain, it is a worthy hike, and provides the reward of an incredible view of Edinburgh. And when you get back down, you’ll have the whole of the city to explore.

Aquarius - Loch Ness
I can bang on about Aquarius being big weirdos all I want, but it wouldn’t deter them – in fact, I get the feeling you kind of like it. Head up to the wilds of Scotland for some wild and wonderful landscapes, and the chance to maybe meet a mysterious monster friend…

Pisces - Dreamland, Margate
Ever heard the phrase Pisces just wanna have fun? Pisces is into all things deep, but sometimes you just need a rest from all that to pretend that you’re Lana del Rey on an old-fashioned boardwalk. Margate’s adorably quaint Dreamland will fulfil all Pisces’ romantic aspirations while letting them actually let loose for once. Have fun!
