The Writing Squad is Arts Council England funded and exists to help young people develop their writing through workshops, support from published writers and more. We only recruit every two years so don’t miss this opportunity to join a motivated and friendly group of writers. It is FREE to join and we work around your life so you can study, work or travel at the same time. We work across styles - from poetry to script and from novels to live art.
The Squad will provide you with:
• One to one support on whatever you are writing
• Workshops led by professional writers
• Opportunities to work on projects
• A supportive community of writers and artists
• Professional development, advice and support
Being part of the Squad is FREE. You just need to be able to get to our writing days in the north, have regular access to the internet, familiarity with social media and a desire to write.
