Enjoy timeless masterpieces by the great composers...

We look ahead to the opening concerts in the 2023-24 seasons of the Zurich International Orchestra Series and the Royal Philharmonic Orchesta's resident season at Cadogan Hall. New concerts this autumn by the outstanding Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra are now booking, as well as The Four Seasons by Candlelight, and a Pablo Casals Memorial Concert. There's still plenty of magnificent orchestral music to catch this June and July.

Opening concerts in the Zurich International Orchestra Series 2023-24: -

  • Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra: Thursday 14 September, 7.30pm - Mozart Symphony No. 40, Bartók Piano Concerto No. 3, Beethoven Symphony No. 3, ‘Eroica’. 
  • Basel Chamber Orchestra: Tuesday 3 October, 7.30pm - Shostakovich Chamber Symphony, Mozart Piano Concerto No. 14 in E flat, K.449, Heinz Holliger Eisblumen (Ice Flowers), Vaughan Williams Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, J.S. Bach Piano Concerto in D minor, BWV 1052.
  • National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine: Thursday 19 October, 7.30pm - Strauss Don Juan, Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1, Sibelius Finlandia, Lyatoshynsky Symphony No. 2.
  • Symphony Orchestra of India: Thursday 30 November, 7.30pm - Strauss Der Rosenkavalier Suite, Zakir Hussain Triple Concerto, Stravinsky Petrushka.

  • Elgar’s Cello Concerto: Wednesday 27 September, 7.30pm - Doreen Carwithen Bishop Rock, Elgar Cello Concerto, Debussy Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, Stravinsky The Firebird: Suite (1919), Elena Schwarz conductor, Zlatomir Fung cello.
  • Passion and Playfulness: Tuesday 12 October 2023, 7.30pm - R. Strauss Don Juan, Mozart Horn Concerto No. 4, Bizet Carmen: Suite No. 1, Tchaikovsky Francesca da Rimini, Alexander Shelley conductor, Felix Klieser french horn
