Collette Cooper Peace on Earth
Collette Cooper releases Christmas album, album launch party and acoustic performance.
The multi-nominated, award-winning singer, writer and critically acclaimed artist Collette Cooper will release her new Christmas album ‘Peace on Earth’, with tracks featuring celebrated actors Ray Winstone, Maxine Peake, James Nesbitt and Fra Fee, on 21st November.
The album’s beguiling focus track is ‘Rock Of Dunamase’, a brand new composition that features a stunning, atmospheric opening of a poem read by James Nesbitt, with a message to resonate with the people who migrate over the ocean.
Collette Cooper said "’The Rock Of Dunamase’ is a message of hope to all immigrants and to hold tight on to your dreams and hopes. In my lyric ‘The waves wash our dreams and dochas’, ‘dochas’ means ‘hope’ in Irish. So no matter how angry the seas are you travel on, your home is in your heart."
The album release will be preceded by an album launch party on Tuesday 18th November at The Pheasantry, Chelsea, hosted by Tony Minvielle of Jazz FM, with contributions from much-loved actors including Karen Bryson and Kathryn Drysdale for the spoken word elements of the album.
Collette will also do an acoustic performance and album signing on Tuesday 25th November at 3.30pm at Rough Trade, Denmark Street in London.
Proceeds and profits from the album and launch party will go to charity War Child, a charity that works to help vulnerable children in war torn countries and has a rich history with the music industry.
