Christmas 2022 is coming to Covent Garden and it's set to be the most magical yet.

This year sees the return of our iconic decorations, legendary 60ft Christmas tree, festive markets, mulled wine and of course, everything you need to create the most magical experience yet. All this can be found in our open air, pedestrianised Piazza and surrounding streets which are filled to the brim with great brands, heated terraces and the best dining in the West End!

It all starts on November the 8th with the Winter Warmer Festival as it just wouldn’t be Christmas without it! This year Covent Garden will have over 25 varieties of mulled wine being served across our estate. From Piazza pop ups to in-store experiences serving tipples to keep you feeling cosy this winter.

There is the Insta-famous Let it Snow from 1st December – 31st December, where you can enjoy a white Christmas every day with our hourly flurries of snow showers, not to mention an ideal photo moment in front of the iconic Christmas tree.

The Christmas Sandwich Festival will also return from 3rd -10th December with much loved restaurants and pop ups putting their spin on the famous festive treat.

Festive favourite The Nutcracker ballet will be showing at the Royal Opera House, alongside live performances on the Piazza from the cast of ELF the musical and the London International Gospel Choir.

There will also be an abundance of festive drinking & dining experiences at restaurants and bars including new late-night venue opening with Stereo from the Experimental Group opening on the Piazza in December whilst the festive favourite Miracle at Henrietta will return once again to the Henrietta Hotel offering a retro and kitsch Christmas experience.

For those looking for the perfect Christmas gift, there are Covent Garden favourites such as Tom Ford, Chanel, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury, Polo Ralph Lauren and many more, including a pop-up store from the iconic Dolce&Gabbana.

New for 2022 is the Covent Garden Christmas Sleigh which will provide the ultimate festive photo moment. The traditionally decorated Sleigh, located in the South Hall of the Market Building, will be a sustainably sourced, reconditioned 1884 carriage hand painted by British artist James Gemmill. Covent Garden’s festive lights will sparkle daily from 11am - midnight from 8th November until 3rd January 2023.

An exciting partnership with ELF the Musical will spread Christmas cheer with Buddy, Jovie and the full cast performing in the heart of the Piazza in the afternoon of Wednesday 14th December to celebrate the musical coming to central London this Christmas.

London’s favourite festive neighbourhood will be adorned with over 115,000 lights glittering across the Piazza and the historic streets. The iconic handpicked 60ft British grown Christmas tree will be decorated with over 30,000 lights and its much-loved giant bow, while the Market Building will be decorated with giant snowball-inspired baubles, mistletoe and mirror balls-it is going to be spectacular!

There is so much to see and do here in Covent Garden this Christmas – you do not want to miss it!
