An unseen body of work by contemporary sculptor, Ahuva zeloof, debuts with lavish new title.

This book charts an incredible visual journey that should be taken as an example, a guide to reconnecting with our deeper souls and retrieving a much-needed sense of peace and harmony with the exterior world.

Ahuva Zeloof is a UK based artist whose work is informed by a profound connection to her Middle Eastern heritage.  Zeloof is known for her stone carving and bronze figures that play with texture and the point of artistic completion. She spent most of her adult life raising her four children, only beginning to sculpt once they flew the nest.  Since discovering sculpture in her 50s, she has exhibited internationally alongside luminaries such as Tracey Emin and David Hockey. She has had three solo shows in London and has been covered in major publications from FORBES to Wall Street International. Her story is a feminist call to arms, and vital proof that one can succeed at any age.

FAITH represents the volta - or turning point - of Zeloof’s artistic journey. The artist pulls back on physical manipulation, instead focusing on the spiritual expressions that onlookers can ‘read’ from the shapes. Or, in Zeloof’s own words: “Created by nature and found by the artist.”  The sculptures in FAITH were found in Nubian sandstone, then cast in bronze. Zeloof spent close to a decade collecting them lovingly from the Mediterranean coast. It is her first foray into post-readymade, showing a maturing of her style and confidence in the materiality of stone

The book is divided into two main parts: the making of FAITH, and the final works that make up FAITH. It is edited by Shelly Verthime, renown curator and designer who was instrumental in reviving the artistic legacy of Guy Bourdin, and brokered his retrospective shows with Somerset House, V&A, Tate Modern, and 30 other global art institutions.

FAITH was photographed by award-winning fine art photographer, Georgia Metaxas, who’s resulting imagery is rich with texture and brings the viewer viscerally into Zeloof’s artistic universe and design language.

The book is published by legendary Milan-based art publisher, Silvana Editoriale (distributed in the UK by ACC Art Books), and is available in bookstores across the UK.
