Sing with the Hallé Saturday 4 February 2023

A welcome return and an opportunity to fill your lungs and experience a full day of inspiring choral music. This is the perfect opportunity to sing one of the most celebrated pieces in the choral repertoire – Brahms’s glorious Ein Deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem, sung in German), conducted by Matthew Hamilton. Come and be part of the sound created by a thousand voices, accompanied by the vibrant, award-winning Hallé raising the roof of The Bridgewater Hall – an altogether thrilling experience and remember no previous experience is required!

The participant ticket includes a fun-packed day of rehearsals with piano and then with orchestra before the public performance with orchestra at 6.30pm for approximately 75 minutes.

Siemens Hallé International Conductors Competition

Not long before the second Siemens Hallé International conductors Competition takes place at Hallé St Peter’s and The Bridgewater Hall. Bringing together three of the most promising emerging conductors to compete in the heart of Manchester for the post of Assistant Conductor of the Hallé and launch their professional career. Quite literally, a life changing opportunity.

Shostakovich's Tenth Symphony - 25, 26 and 29 January 2023  Believed by many to be Shostakovich’s finest, it includes a savage portrayal of the then recently deceased Stalin and an uplifting finale.

The Hallé and Hallé Youth Orchestra side-by-side -  Sunday 29 January  A truly memorable evening for both performers and audience alike.
