Shakespeare’s Richard III: 9 May - 3 August

Meet Richard: the man, the myth, the monster. A new production of Shakespeare’s Richard III unfolds in the Globe Theatre this summer. Directed by Elle White with Artistic Director Michelle Terry in the title role.

Richard can taste the throne, but before he can place the English crown on his own head, he must first set in motion a series of villainous events that threaten the lives of everyone around him.

Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing:  25 April – 24 August

Welcome to Italy on Bankside! Our summer season begins this week as we transform the Globe Theatre to a luxurious paradise for Shakespeare’s timeless comedy.

After years of war, an idyllic Italian town is finally back in bloom. But young lovers Claudio and Hero, and sparring singletons Beatrice and Benedick, soon discover that all is not as it seems in their beautiful surrounds as they become entangled in a series of mischievous games, pranks and plots. Globe Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes directs this Elizabethan-dress production.
