It Walks Around The House At Night Tour

Award-winning company ThickSkin extends its hit ghost story with a spine-chilling Autumn tour.

Following a sell-out tour and London run, award-winning theatre company ThickSkin returns with the chilling ghost story It Walks Around The House At Night, haunting audiences across the UK this Autumn. As the company continues to build its reputation for bold touring productions and inventive staging, the tour is supported by Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, where it opens on 24th September before travelling UK-wide. Written by Bruntwood Prize winning playwright Tim Foley the production is perfectly timed for the most spine-tingling months of the year. Brimming with eerie atmosphere, jump scares and a dangerously dark sense of humour, It Walks Around The House At Night leaves audiences gripping the edge of their seats.

Terror is set to sweep across the UK as George Naylor brings an expert blend of sheer dread and sharp comedy as Joe, a desperate out-of-work actor. During another dull shift at the bar, he mistakenly accepts a handsome, rich customer’s offer of an unusual yet generously paid gig as a ghost at an old countryside manor. Expecting a few cheap scares, Joe soon discovers something far more unsettling lurking in the grounds after dark.

Joining him is Oliver Baines as The Dancer, a haunting presence lingers in the shadows. As Joe’s nights on the grounds spiral out of control, It Walks Around The House At Night unfolds with unexpected twists, creeping dread and flashes of wicked humour. Directed by ThickSkin’s acclaimed Artistic Director Neil Bettles, created by Tony Award-winning sound designer Pete Malkin and Olivier Award-winning and 2026 nominee video and lighting designer Joshua Pharo, the production captivates audiences for an all-consuming journey after dark.
