Returns showcasing unique avant-garde jazz with a global conscience

Julie Campiche Quartet have announced a much anticipated return to the UK for two exclusive shows, following the release November 2022 release of sophomore album ‘You Matter’, which came out on ENJA Records. Julie Campiche Quartet will bring their distinctive avant garde jazz with a global conscience to the UK stage once again, for two live dates at Manchester Jazz Festival at Band On The Wall on 28th May, and World Heart Beat’s Embassy Gardens on 2nd June.

Experimental jazz harpist, vocalist, composer, electronic music producer and bandleader Julie Campiche’s innovative musical language is an on-going process that sees her share her vision of the world. Through her early experience in jazz, classical electronic and avant-garde experimentation, this jazz harp pioneer has developed an authentic extremely distinctive style that is imbued with intensity and urgent fragility.

The group’s critically acclaimed second album ‘You Matter’ is an experimental body of work in avant-garde jazz that has the spellbinding sounds of Julie Campiche’s harp at its core, with a compelling and hopeful message to the world around themes of climate change, refugee crisis, the patriarchy and human identity.
