Receives world premiere at BFI Flare, London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival
Luke Wills’s feature film debut about London-born drag queen Lady Camden receives its world premiere at this year’s BFI Flare, where it screens as the closing night gala on Saturday 23rd March.
Lady Like is the intimate story of London-born, San Francisco-based runner-up of season 14 of RuPaul's Drag Race, Lady Camden (aka Rex Wheeler), as she becomes an international drag superstar. Along the way the film investigates how drag and the performing arts saved Rex from a traumatic childhood giving him hope, purpose, and community in a world that otherwise offered none. BFI Flare London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival runs 13th to 24th March.
