Genre defying exclusive performances throughout 2024 at JW3!

In July, a West End cast of award-winning performers in Celebrating Lionel Bart (+ a Sir or two!) and Spring sees highlights including:

The stage premiere of the song cycle Scene Unseen on Wednesday 17 & Thursday 18 April. The spellbinding cabaret artist Jessica Walker was inspired to create this extraordinary musical cabaret, after Cream’s lyricist Pete Brown - her birth father, died last year. Jessica explores identity, gender identity and her Jewish ancestry, told through her fractured relationship with her father. Jessica’s words are movingly enhanced with original songs by her long-term collaborator Joseph Atkins: torch song, humour, opera and even a touch of eighties synth. Scene Unseen emotionally soars as Jessica’s personal story is revealed.

“A pure, bright mezzo-soprano of such melting beauty, I could listen to it forever' – New York Times.

David Labi’s comedic one man show Pieces Of Man on Tuesday 2 & Wednesday 3 April. Dads can be complicated. Now a father himself, David is having a midlife crisis. A hilarious and transformational journey, and a masterclass in how to draw a whole life against the canvas of his father’s Jewish history.

On Sunday 7 July, 8pm join JW3 for a magical and nostalgic musical theatre evening celebrating the great music of songwriter Lionel Bart, Celebrating Lionel Bart, with a West End cast headlined by Olivier Award Winner Liza Sadovy. Further cast to be announced.

With a cast of West End performers including Oliver Award winner Liza Sadovy (Cabaret, Oklahoma) singing Bart’s magical songs from: Living Doll, A Handful of Songs to hits from musicals Oliver! and Blitz. Celebrating Lionel Bart is devised and directed by Adam Lenson (Cable Street) and produced by Neil Marcus. Musical Director Theo Jamieson (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie).
