Upcoming events for September – December 2023

Liverpool’s iconic Philharmonic Hall will welcome performances from a range of artists this autumn, from outstanding orchestral performances to side-splitting stand-up comedy – there’s something for everyone.

Highlights include:

  • Performances from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan include concerts with Artist in Residence Simone Lamsma, Liverpool-born pianist Paul Lewis, soprano Sonya Yoncheva and cellist Pablo Ferrández.
  • Chamber music recital from pianist Víkingur Ólafsson.
  • Liverpool Philharmonic Hall will also welcome musical legends including Seal, Gabrielle, Beverley Knight and Sophie Ellis-Bextor,
  • Actor Miriam Margoles, Historian Lucy Worsley, artist Grayson Perry and broadcaster Simon Reeve tour to Liverpool Philharmonic for insightful conversations, stories and everything in between!
  • Homegrown talent including Holly Johnson, Rebecca Ferguson, Katie Nicholas and Harry Tonks return to Liverpool.
  • New music from Ensemble 10:10 including two world premieres.
  • This autumn will also see film screenings with live orchestra; the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra accompany Alfred Hitchcock’s classic psychological thriller Pyscho and the magical classic Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
  • Liverpool Philharmonic marks the festive season with special performances from the Orchestra, pianist Alexandra Dariescu, Spirit of Christmas Concerts, and screenings of favourite films It’s a Wonderful Life, and The Muppets Christmas Carol.

There will also be an open day Sunday 24 September, a day filled with music and everyone is welcome to join!
