The UK’s largest open-air cinema announces its 2022 summer season, with a new programme of outdoor screenings at exquisite venues in London.

Summer is just around the corner, which means it’s time to gather friends and family to experience the magic of films al-fresco in a host of beautiful settings across the UK.

The Luna Cinema, in partnership with Little Moons, is back to celebrate its 15th consecutive year of open-air cinema with a brand-new programme that promises an epic summer of cinema under the stars. With over 150 screenings at more than 40 stunning locations, including familiar favourites and brand-new venues, tickets are on sale now at www.thelunacinema.com/cinema/.

New venue for the 2022 summer season includes the historical Lincoln’s Inn, which is set in beautiful, private grounds in Holborn, Central London, this joins existing exclusive Luna venues including Westminster Abbey, Chiswick House, Clapham Common, Danson House, Dulwich Park, Kensington Palace, Kenwood House, Marble Hill, Old Royal Naval College, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and Wimbledon Park.

The programme features a brand-new line up of both classic and new film favourites you may have missed in the cinema when they were originally released due to Covid. Back on the big screen as originally intended, films include Oscar winning West Side StoryBelfast, Spider Man: No Way Home and Bond’s latest outing No Time To Die; classics include Pretty Woman and Moulin Rouge; as well as popular perennials such as The Breakfast ClubGhostbusters and The Greatest Showman.

A variety of delicious food partners will be present at all screenings, as well as a full bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can also pre-order food and drink hampers when booking tickets via the website, which are filled with tasty treats, including Little Moons’ delicious mochi ice cream balls, the perfect treat to snack on as you relax in the open air and soak up the atmosphere. Audiences are welcome to dig out their hampers and pack a picnic of their own (though the bringing of alcohol to the events is restricted).

We’ve spent the winter devising what we believe to be our greatest cinema season yet, with a line-up of films and venues that will make for the perfect summer’s evening out – and just at a time when cinema really feels like it’s making a triumphant return in the post-pandemic world. With the inclusion of films like Spider-Man: No Way Home, No Time To Die, West Side Story and Belfast, alongside every classic film you can imagine, the programme at these breath taking locations will offer something for everyone in London. So, round up your friends and dig out that picnic blanket as this summer promises to be special!”
