Welcome to MACFEST (Muslim Arts and Culture Festival) 2026, a ground breaking, global and a multi-award-winning annual Festival held in the North-West Venues and online worldwide. It’s mission is to celebrate arts, diversity and connect communities.
MACFEST multi-art forms programme is now open, with over 85 live and digital events offering a rich feast of festivals lasting for six months from February to July. The themed festivals across the North West and beyond include: Youth, Women, Ramadan, Environment, Museum and Libraries Festivals.
The digital international panels are hosted from Philippines, Qatar, USA, Indoneisa,Portugal, Australia, Iraq, Indonesia.
MACFEST celebrates the rich heritage of the Muslim diaspora communities. There is something for the whole family: literature, art, history, music, performance, photography, culture, comedy, art exhibitions, demonstrations, debates, women and youth panels, children’s activities, and art workshops.
There are many highlights: art workshops and exhibitions across the North West, literary events, Opening Ceremony and Women’s Arts Festival at the Whitworth Art Gallery on 14th February in Manchester. Riveting panels celebrating International Women’s Day. On Sat 13 June the Lowry theatre will host a musical Eid celebration, and the New Adelphi opens its doors for a preview of the 2026 Muslim Arts Awards on Thu 19 Nov.
The festival offers a great line-up of local, national and international speakers: performers, writers, academics, photographers, comedians, poets, featuring over 75 artists, poets, performers, writers, and culture champions.
