Nominations announced for the 9th annual National Film Awards 2023

The National Film Academy today unveiled  the official nominees for the highly anticipated 9th annual National Film Awards. The nominees, featuring a stellar line up of talented individuals, films and TV series, have been announced setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of recognition and celebration.

Leading the pack are several prominent names that are sure to capture headlines. Kate Bosworth, Lily James, and Olivia Coleman are among the remarkable actresses vying for the coveted Best Actress award. On the other side, the fierce competition in the Best Actor category includes Lucien Laviscount, Jason Statham, and Taron Egerton.

Numerous nominees and films find themselves going head-to-head in multiple categories including, "Last Sentinel," "Rye Lane," and "Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre”, all  highlighting their exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

The Best Actress in a TV Series category features an intense battle between talented individuals, including Máiréad Tyers for "Extraordinary," Jennifer Metcalfe for "Hollyoaks," and India Amarteifio for "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story." Similarly, the Best Actor in a TV Series category presents a thrilling competition, with Richard Blackwood, Penn Badgley and Nick Pickard.

In celebration of the 9th annual National Film Awards, The National Film Academy has announced the launch of it's first-ever members social network platform, a pioneering initiative that aims to unite the entire film industry like never before. The 9th annual National Film Awards is set to take place on July 3, 2023, at the prestigious Porchester Hall. The voting process is already underway and open to the public at until June 27, 2023.  The awards show will be broadcast live on VooVix TV on the 3rd of July.
