Take a bird’s eye view of humans in a brand-new fun filled family show!
Encouraging young generations to care about the environment and those we share it with, Nest uses shadow puppetry, original songs and clowning to follow Birtle and Piper, two birds and their eggs, in the only tree left in the city.
Written & Directed by Gilly Baskeyfield, this is a high energy show with giant sized props and steampunk costumes. This two-hander gives a bird’s eye view of humans and their world below full of exciting ‘thingamajigs’ and lots of clutter, all left in the urban landscape below.
A bottle cap makes a cracking mirror, a five-pound note makes a tip top tablecloth and dice make a delightful stool... but what will happen when the dynamic duo takes a shine to collecting and they fill their nest with too many things?
Filled with clowning, original song and beautiful shadow play, this highly physical show uses minimal language to tell a tale about taking care, discovering what’s important and learning how to fly.
“The whole show is a rainbow, full of delightfully sweet magic” The Guardian
