Summer Season at the iconic Globe Theatre
Home to the King Charles' favourite playwright, Shakespeare’s Globe is a bucket-list destination for any tourist visiting the capital, especially as we approach the Coronation: King Charles shared a passion for Shakespeare with our Founding Patron, his father Prince Philip.
Our Summer Season opens with A Midsummer Night’s Dream on 27 April featuring Globe Artistic Director Michelle Terry as Puck, Shakespeare’s deliciously disruptive and intoxicating comedy.
There’s also just one month to go before we open The Comedy of Errors on 12 May – a madcap comedy about long-lost siblings and mistaken identities, offering a taste of the true Elizabethan London playgoing experience.
Audiences can also enjoy a pre-show drink with a stunning view across the Thames and overlooking St Paul's Cathedral, or indulge in A Midsummer Night’s Dream themed afternoon tea, served daily from noon at our on-site restaurant Swan at the Globe.
For those making a day of it, our award-winning Guided Tour has a brand-new exhibition, immersing visitors in the sights, sounds, and secrets of Shakespeare’s London. Visitors travel through over 400-years of history and try on real costumes from the world-famous Globe stage.
