May Half Term & Summer previews at Shakespeare’s Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe is the perfect destination for a family day out this summer: we have family shows, workshops, tours and storytelling, a new interactive exhibition and a full children’s menu available at our on-site restaurant, Swan at the Globe.

BBC CBeebies: Twelfth Night at Shakespeare’s Globe, 30 – 31 May. Age 3+

A unique new production with a BBC CBeebies twist which will be performed especially for pre-school children and their families. Featuring CBeebies’ favourite stars, Maddie Moate (Maddie Do You Know?), Steven Kynman (Hey Duggee) and Justin Fletcher (Mr Tumble), guaranteed to include plenty of songs, dancing and joining in.

Twelfth Night Family Workshop: 30 – 31 May. Age 3-5

Visit a rehearsal room and take part in an interactive workshop, using a range of activities and games to discover the fun of the play.

Midsummer Mechanicals: 22 July – 26 August.  Age 5+

This Olivier Award nominated family show, follows Peter Quince’s acting troupe – known as the Mechanicals – as they attempt to recapture the success of their first hit Pyramus and Thisbe, a show so bold, brilliant and chaotic that it went down in theatre history…

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Family Workshop: April – 26 August. Age 5+

A fun and interactive workshop that includes a visit to the Globe Theatre along with activities and games.

Family Globe Theatre Guided Tour – 29 October, Age 7-11

This tour introduces younger visitors to Shakespeare’s London and to the theatrical world he created. From blood and gore to poetry and prose, this is sure to delight!
