Hakawatis: Women of the Arabian Nights - FINAL PERFORMANCE: 14 JANUARY 2023

A tyrant revenges his wife’s infidelity by wedding, bedding, and beheading a new bride every day. Years later, only five brides-in-waiting remain. Hakawatis is Globe Writer-in-Residence Hannah Khalil’s re-telling of The Arabian Nights in a co-production with Tamasha.

Henry V - FINAL PERFORMANCE: 4 FEBRUARY 2023

Henry V, performed in the intimate, indoor Sam Wanamaker Playhouse for the first time, explores the single-minded pursuit of Henry V, and what it means to be ‘English’.

The intimate Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is transformed into a torture chamber, in a production of Shakespeare’s ultra-violent deadly revenge tragedy which promises to be a feast for the senses.

The Winter’s Tale – 9 February – 16 April 2023

For the first time ever, audiences of The Winter’s Tale will traverse between aristocratic Sicilia in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse to pastoral Bohemia in the Globe Theatre. Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes traverses two worlds to explore the destructive and redemptive power of love.
