Summer at Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey opens its doors to a summer season of discovery and creativity.

Highlights: 

Workshop: Gelli Printmaking: Friday 17th July, 6.00pm – 7.30pm

Create your own collection of unique prints using organic materials gathered from the Abbey estate, including grasses, leaves and herbs. 

Late: Art at the Abbey: Friday 14th August, 6.15pm – 8.00pm

Enjoy a rare opportunity to sketch in the peaceful surroundings of Westminster Abbey’s historic cloisters after hours. 

Workshop: Block Printing: Friday 21st August, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Explore the ancient art of Indian wood block printing and create your own unique design. 

Workshop: Letterpress Printing: Friday 11th September, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Create your own unique composition using vintage letterpress blocks.

London in the English Civil War: Wednesday 8th July, 1.00pm – 1.50pm

Summer at the Abbey

Highlights include Brass on the Grass band concerts on Wednesday lunchtimes; ten-minute Memorial of the Month talks and activities for families and children running on selected dates from 23rd July - 20th August.
