Step into the story as the second half of our summer season fast approaches and experience timeless worlds and kaleidoscopic emotions at Shakespeare’s Globe. Explore the fantastical forest in As You Like It, witness nature and human nature collide in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, watch the natural order turn upside down in Macbeth and travel to Elizabethan London in the madcap The Comedy of Errors.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream: 27 April – 12 August

  • Shakespeare’s deliciously disruptive comedy, Elle While directs, with Globe Artistic Director Michelle Terry as Puck.

Macbeth: 21 July - 28 October

  • An epic tragedy about one couple’s ruthless quest for power. When the universe gives Macbeth a sign that he will become King, he and his wife stop at nothing to cling to power, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

As You Like It:  18 August – 29 October

  • Shakespeare’s joyous comedy unfolds in the Forest or Arden, in an exuberant tale of romance and redemption. 

The Comedy of Errors: running until 29 July

  • Two sets of twins are separated by a shipwreck and end up in rival cities. After twenty years apart, they inadvertently cross paths and set in motion a series of chaotic events that hurtles towards an extraordinary finale.

Family-show Midsummer Mechanicals returns to the Playhouse from 22 July; Flagship project for secondary schools, Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank, returns with The Tempest, directed by Diane Page; Burnt at the Stake, or The Whole Truth, a special night of new writing runs in the Globe Theatre on 13 October.
