What’s on at Towner Eastbourne this Spring.
As it finally starts to feel like spring, join Towner for events and exhibitions across the whole building. This month, Towner launches its new Towner Lates series, combining live music, film, drop-in workshops, and a special express menu by Light restaurant & bar. There’s also a lovely Afternoon Tea and Art Store Tour for Mothers Day, a walking tour of The Findings public artworks in Langney & Shinewater and many more things to do and experience including Impressions in Watercolour: J.M.W. Turner and his Contemporaries, The Ravilious Collection and of course Towner’s other free contemporary exhibitions including Gathered Around the Sun running until 8 March and Poppy Jones Frozen Sun which opens on 28 March.
Towner Lates: Friday 27 March 6pm – 10pm
- Experience the gallery in a whole new way with live music from Brighton-based avant-pop duo Insides with support from singer-songwriter Laura Fell & band. Food from Light restaurant; Interactive installations and drop-in activities by Toad Lickers Collective; Moving-image works, presented by Devonshire Collective’s Volta Artists’ Moving Image and access to all exhibitions out of hours.

- Ceramics Fair 14 & 15 March and Eastbourne Farmers Market Saturday 7 March. Applications are also open for Towner Print Fair! Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 June 2026.
Towner's BN9 Programme Newhaven: 12 to 29 March
- A vibrant series of events and exhibitions taking place at the Marine Workshops & Sidings courtyard on Newhaven’s east quay. Bringing together contemporary artists, local communities, professionals and amateurs to exhibit alongside one another in the democratic, unjudged and free to enter visual art exhibition.
Mother's Day Ravilious Tour & Afternoon Tea: Sunday 15 March, 2.30pm
- Celebrate Mother's Day in style with afternoon tea for two and a behind-the-scenes group tour of the Eric Ravilious works housed in Towner's bespoke Art Store.
Lunchtime Response
Ravilious and Bawden: A Pattern of Friendship: Saturday 21 March, 1.30pm to 1.50pm
- Join Towner staff member Caitlin Yapp for a relaxed talk and discussion in The Ravilious Collection.
Walk & Tour The Findings public artworks: Saturday 21 March, 2.00pm
- Join artist Verity-Jane Keefe for a walk around The Findings public artworks in Shinewater and Langney and revisit them a year after their unveiling.
Finally Eastbourne Arts Circle presents "Three Great Families and their Gardens" A History of the Astors, the Rothschilds and the Sackville Wests with Caroline Rayman Friday 10 April, 2.30pm. Towner Cinema Caroline Rayman’s talk focuses on the Astors, the Rothschilds and the Sackville Wests: three families who created beautiful homes and gardens, contributing greatly to English ways of life and traditions of gardening.
