The Museum of London has some fantastic FREE activities the whole family can enjoy this January from drop-in dragon dances to musical singalongs.

Great Fire of London family walk (7-28th January, paid advanced booking), ages 5+

Join us in the great outdoors on a fun, safe, family walk exploring The Great Fire of 1666. Explore how the Great Fire started, spread and was finally stopped on this  60 minute interactive walk.

The Gin Tour: The Mother’s Ruin (25th January, paid advanced booking), 18+ | 1hr 30min

Join this fascinating walk around London’s West End, discovering the colourful history of the 18th century Gin Craze, its impact on Londoners and how they responded to it.

DISPLAYS AND EXHIBITIONS

Executions - ages 12+  10:15-16:30pm, Monday-Sunday

Discover how over nearly 700 years, public executions came to shape the city we know today. Executions, open until 16 April 2023, showcases a range of fascinating objects, paintings and projections, including the vest said to have been worn by King Charles I when he was executed, last letters of the condemned, and much more.

Feeding Black: Community, Power & Place  - 12+ 10am-5pm, Monday-Sunday

A free display, until 7 May 2023, exploring the central role food plays in Black enterprise and identity in South East London. Feeding Black: Community, Power & Place includes recipes, objects and recorded stories, along with TikTok and Instagram cooking videos of traditional African and Caribbean dishes with a contemporary twist.
