Colchester Castle’s spectacular new exhibition, Gladiators: A Day at the Roman Games is now open at Colchester Castle.

Head back 2,000 years into the world of the Roman Games and the Gladiatorial Arena in Roman Colchester.

Packed with immersive displays learn about the life and death of Gladiators fighting in the arena through the exhibition's many thematic displays. 

Collect your ticket to the games, stock up on Roman ‘fast food’ and enjoy the day’s events: the Morning Beast Hunts; Midday Executions, and Afternoon Gladiatorial Combat. 

You’ll even be able to battle the beasts and gladiators of the arena themselves – but will they win their freedom from the arena?

Suitable for the whole family and with star objects such as the Pompeii Murmillo Gladiator Helmet on loan from the British Museum and the Colchester Vase it's going to be breathtaking!
