A spellbinding celebration of music and ballet, featuring dancers from the renowned Birmingham Royal Ballet.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is thrilled to welcome back dancers from the prestigious ballet company for another dazzling celebration of some of the greatest Russian works of Romanticism ever written.
Iconic dances from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake and Minkus’ Don Quixote are brought to the stage of the Royal Albert Hall in this one-night-only concert for all lovers of classical music and ballet.
Orchestral masterpieces from Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka’s Ruslan and Ludmilla and Khachaturian’s Spartacusalso feature in this enchanting gala event, performed by one of the UK’s leading symphony orchestras and Associate Orchestra of the Royal Albert Hall, the RPO. Leading the helm is conductor Barry Wordsworth, the Music Director Laureate of the Birmingham Royal Ballet and Principal Guest Conductor of The Royal Ballet.
