Now in its sixth year, the 2017 Isle of Wight Literary Festival will welcome authors and journalists including Andrew Marr, Bryony Gordon, Frank Gardner, Val McDermid and Dame Jenni Murray. From events including a celebration of Keats’ poetry to a prosecco-fuelled literary quiz, there is something for all.
The festival takes place at Northwood House, a magnificent Georgian manor set on 20-acres will set the stage as the main festival venue, hosting live jazz on 13-14 October. There is also plenty to see and do while visiting Cowes. You will be able to enjoy eclectic shops and restaurants while exploring the town’s rich maritime history. Accomodation will be provided in one of the stunning nearby flats.
In addition, travel to and from the festival will be provided by Red Funnel Ferries, escorting festival goers directly to Cowes via Southampton. And, as title sponsor, Red Funnel will offer festival goers 20% off return vehicle ferry travel, £9 day returns on the Red Jet, or £12 for an open weekend return.
