Have you ever wanted to peek behind the stage curtain and see what goes on behind the scenes?
Theatre Royal Windsor is offering you the chance to take a tour of its stunning auditorium and head backstage to follow in the footsteps of stars like the legendary Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud and Vivien Leigh - you'll even get the chance to tread the boards yourself and walk through the set of the current production (subject to rehearsal and performance timetables).
You will hear stories from expert guides about the theatre’s illustrious history stretching back over 240 years - including stories about the ghosts who haunt the building…You will also learn about how Theatre Royal Windsor has been used as a filming location for films such as the recent adaptation of Hamlet - starring national treasure Sir Ian McKellen - and how modern theatre is made there today.
Tours last approximately 1 hour, and take place on Thursdays and Saturdays only, subject to rehearsal and performance schedules.

Please note, the tour involves stairs as it takes in many different levels of the building and does not have lift facilities available.
