Rangatainment presents Nova Comedy on Thursday 19th June features none-other than Yorkshire-born star Maisie Adam, known for her TV work including A League of Their Own, Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, QI and Have I Got News For You. Winner of the nationwide competition So You Think You’re Funny in 2017, Maisie has won Best New Act at the Chortle Awards and the coveted Amused Moose National New Act award, as well as being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe for her debut show Vague. Her anecdotal material and witty charm have earned her praise up and down the country, with sold out dates across headline tours which included London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Clapham Grand and Leicester Square Theatre.
Joining Maisie are British-Sri Lankan born Dinesh Nathan, a rising star with his viral videos who’ supported the likes of Tom Allen, Tom Davis, Romesh Ranganathan and Kerry Godliman, plus Brighton comic Joe Foster, whose dry wit and likeable persona won him the South Coast Comedian of the Year, cementing his place as one of the freshest new voices on the UK comedy circuit.
The evening, hosted by the hilarious and multi award-winning Matt Richardson, takes place in Nova Cinema’s Screen 1 at 8pm.
